Minority Menatal Health Awareness Month 2026 : When Duty Meets Identity: Mental Health Stressors Among Diverse Military Populations

Minority Menatal Health Awareness Month 2026 : When Duty Meets Identity: Mental Health Stressors Among Diverse Military Populations

from $0.00

Military service members, veterans, and their dependents often experience significant stress related to deployment, relocation, trauma exposure, family separation, and reintegration. For individuals from diverse and historically marginalized populations, these challenges may be further impacted by identity-related stressors involving race, culture, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, disability status, stigma, discrimination, and barriers to care. This workshop explores the intersection of military culture, identity, and mental health while equipping clinicians with culturally responsive, trauma-informed strategies to effectively support diverse military-connected populations across clinical and community settings.
